When it comes to the products I choose to use on my face I admit I can be fussy, especially from past experiences where I've reacted badly to products that have left my (once severe) acne prone skin as dry as a piece of sandpaper-no exaggeration. Despite this Avéne is quickly becoming my go-to brand for skincare as I am yet to react badly to one product from them.

They have recently launched a nifty kit for Sensitive skin suffers that is perfect for summer breaks and festivals, due to its travel friendly size. The kit includes their "Extremely Gentle Cleanser Lotion" which is almost a gel like consistency and can be used with a simple cotton make-up pad. Their (iconic) Spring Water Spray which I have adored for ages and was a staple when I was out in Palm Springs a couple of weeks ago (40ºC+). And finally their "Skin Recovery Cream" that can be used daily to reduce inflammation.

These products are all free from fragrance, alcohol, paragons and colouring agents that are known to irritate your skin. In fact I have been using these products religiously as I found they soothe and cool my skin instantly, I especially love the cleanser as it evens removes stubborn waterproof mascara.

The first instalment of my California (L.A) themed blog posts comes in the form of a place that is very close to my heart-Joshua Tree National Park. There is something about Joshua Tree that immediately draws me in, from its iconic features to its pure vastness subsequently making it the perfect backdrop for a festival inspired post. Looking back through these photos reminds me of just how amazing the national park is.

With festival season well and truly in full swing there is nothing like scouting around online for some killer pieces to let you inner boho/free-spirited self loose. I'm obsessed with festival style myself and you can often see me scanning Pinterest for the latest street style (festival) photos for a spark of inspiration. Boohoo have made the festival shopping even easier for you, as they've created their very own festival shop with pieces such as maxi dresses, denim shorts to on-trend Bardot tops. They have got you covered rain or shine with prices that are also purse-friendly, and as a regular Boohoo shopper you could only imagine how long my wishlist has now become.

It was only when typing out my outfit details that I realised 99.9% of this outfit is from New Look the reasoning being is that I work there and their discount is too good to resist and I genuinely adore  their pieces. That being said I have been longing to own a Khaki Camo Print 'Shacket' for aggggeeeessss. When I say ages I literally mean years from looking everywhere from online, vintage shops, charity shops. I've been trying the scout out the perfect one for forever. So when this beauty arrived in delivery it was *fate* and I quickly nabbed it before it even hit the shop floor-there was only two available...
