Photos by @ima.mermaidJust a quick post today sharing an outfit I wore a couple of days ago. I've been wearing this denim jacket non-stop recently and have been receiving quite a few comments on how people are lovin' the patchwork detail at work. Not bad for a jacket that only cost £10-thanks to Romwe's 60% off discount code for new shoppers. I just love how its adds a grunge feel to the whole look, which is fair to say a mash-up of both the 70s and 90s. Both of which I adore and constantly wish I was a part of the music scene of either...

Avene Hydrance Skin Tone Perfector in "Light" (link)*
I thought I would share with you a few of this months favourites as I've been particularly enjoying a few new products, ranging from beauty to music.
First up on the 'beauty front' is a new discovery of mine which comes in the form of the Avene "Hydrance Skin Tone Perfector". This product reflects light and blurs imperfections leaving you with a naturally radiant finish, offering light coverage thanks to its combination of coloured and light-reflection mineral pigments that adjust to your natural skin tone, leaving a natural finish. One thing I love about this product is how easy it is to incorporate into my skincare/make-up routine, as I pop this all over my face once it has been cleansed and then go over any areas which need extra coverage with a spot of concealer. I'm actually wearing it in my latest outfit post (here) for reference, also as it contains SPF 30 it is a perfect summer essential due to it UVA and UVB protecting qualities.
I've recently been enjoying with sporting a rose gold/pink toned eyeshadow look paired with a grey/mauve lip as some of you might have noticed. To create said look I've been using these Kiko eyeshadows in "139" (lightest shade) and "137" (darker shade), both shadows are extremely pigmented and when set with a setting spray stay intense all day. The NYX Lingerie Liquid Lipstick has been a new 'holy-grail' product of mine as this product has some SERIOUS staying power, and again the colour pay off is amazing.
So this picture disk was a gem of a find, and now takes pride and place in my room. I've also enjoyed listening the latest PJ Harvey album, the new single from The Stone Roses and Blossoms. I've created a Spotify playlist compiling some more of my favourite songs from this month, which you can check out here.

Lookbook // photos by @ima.mermaidI have had an obsession with space and the galaxies that exist beyond our planet for years. It's most likely down to the fact of wanting to know about the unknown and the amazing things that space is capable of doing. That being said what better way to declare my love for all things space and nebulas than with this awesome "Starburst Galaxy" t-shirt.
I decided to pair this new addition to my wardrobe with a recent d.i.y/revamp of a skirt I've had for ages but never seem to wear. It was originally an a-line style number but with a few stitches it is now transformed into something a little more fitted. I also paired the tee with a red neck scarf to bring out the red tones in the print.

A couple of weeks ago I popped into one of my favourite stores - Monki along Carnaby Street, for a quick browse. As a huge fan of the brand and their amazing pieces, visiting the store is one of my favourite things to do when I'm having an 'un-inspired' faze. With that being said I spotted on their instagram page their an exciting collaboration with Sweden based artist Sara Andreasson, and the feminist inspired logo t-shirts they've created.
So when I saw this t-shirt on the way in I immediately grabbed my size and completely fell in love with its oversized style, soft fabric and (of course) the badass logo. Admittedly nor have I taken it off of my back since purchasing it...that's some logo t-shirt love right here.

I have had my eye on owning this Bardot top ever since first spotting it in the delivery section at the store (f.y.i I work at New Look hence why I regularly feature them on the blog). I completely fell for its mediterranean feel from its' vibrant red colour and subtle floral pattern, to its' soft detailing around the sleeves. I actually wore it over the weekend when the sun was shining and it was starting to feel (dare I say) like summer?!
Typically that has changed as I'm typing this looking out my window where rain, thunderstorms and lighting are currently on the weather front. Needless to say....that California sunshine couldn't come any quicker.

The second instalment for my collaboration with the brand The Mountain comes in the form of this awesome Eclipse Wolves T-Shirt. With this particular design I decided to go for an oversized fit as previously I have worn more of a 'true to size' style, the reason for this was because I had a couple of styling ideas for the tee.
The first being that I wanted to play around with the 'darkness' of it by pairing it with a classic all-black outfit with the added touch of a leather jacket. I am also hoping to include it in a more summery look come summer holiday season, by pairing it with a pair of black distressed mom shorts and possibly an oversized, floor length kimono.
