With spring upon us it can be that awkward time of the year where you may find your wardrobe lacking in a couple of key pieces, to help transition your clothes from winter to spring. So today I thought I might share with you my take on the key pieces that help me transition my wardrobe from day to night, this season.
Fat Face has recently launched their "Wardrobe Edit" campaign which encourages us to update our look for the season, by simply investing in just a couple of key items that can be worn for both day and night.
With this in mind I decided to invest in a pair of Fat Face's "Modern Chino Crops" in "Violet" (my pastel obsession continues...) and their "Ryde Broderie Shirt" as my key pieces in creating this 'transitional' look. Both pieces are extremely versatile for both spring and summer, and due to their lightweight fabric are perfect for keeping you cool when the weather starts to heat up.
For the 'day to night transition' I decided to keep the basis of the outfit the same and update the look with a few key accessories and outerwear pieces. For the day look I decided to pair the shirt and chinos with my beloved metallic mac, a statement piece that it also perfect for protecting me from those April Showers. Additionally as the mac is making a comeback this season it gives the outfit an updated 'on-trend' look-with added practicality.
For the 'night' look I decided to pair the shirt and chinos with a contrasting black duster jacket, a staple in my wardrobe for instantly added a dash of drama to a simple look. I additionally paired the outfit with my holographic unicorn clutch and pom pom earrings, for added impact.
So there you have it a simple way to transition a couple of key pieces from Fat Face, with just a few accessories, that can easily transform your outfit from day to night in a matter of seconds.
